Manuel Möller holds a German Diplom in computer science and a Masters in Philosophy. Currently he is writing his PhD at German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence DFKI GmbH Knowledge Management Department. His research focuses on the combination of low-level object recognition algorithms for images and high-level conceptualizations in formal ontologies to help closing the gap between symbolic and subsymbolic AI technologies. Wolfgang Neuser is professor of philosophy at the University of Kaiserslautern with main interest in philosophy of science and technology, knowledge and cognition, nature and metaphysics, with degrees in physics and astro-physics (Diplom), history of sciences and philosophy (Dr. phil. and Habilitation). His historical researches concern subjects in the middle ages, renaissance, 17th to 19th centuries and 20th century. Read more... Thomas Roth-Berghofer is Senior Researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence DFKI GmbH, and Lecturer at the University of Kaiserslautern (on the Semantic Web and Case-Based Reasoning). He is working in the field of artificial intelligence, specifically in case-based reasoning, the semantic web, explanation, and context. His main research interests are in trustworthy and explainable knowledge-based systems. He co-initiated the workshop series on Philosophy and Informatics and an accompanying Special Interest Group as well as two other workshop series. He was co-organizer of the Third Conference Professional Knowledge Management WM 2005, co-chair of the Eighth European Conference on Case-Based Reasoning ECCBR 2006, and programme co-chair of the Sixth International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Modeling and Using Context CONTEXT 2007.
